Green House Gasses refer to SIX gasses that occur in our atmosphere
The Kyoto Protocol adopted 11 Dec 1997 used the concept of reporting all SIX greenhouse gasses as Co2 equivalents
Colloquially most reporters refer to Co2 as the green house gas. This is not so.
Co2 has by far the greatest volume in the atmosphere
However Methane is much more powerful in terms of its contribution to the greenhouse effect
Technically the gasses are ranked by their “global warming potential” - GWP
